The Aquascape IonGen System G2 offers an advanced, chemical-free solution for controlling string algae and blanketweed in ponds and water features.
Designed for both garden ponds and koi systems, this intelligent electronic system uses copper ion technology to naturally inhibit algae growth, maintaining a clear and healthy pond ecosystem.

Professional Algae Control Without Chemicals

Algae such as blanketweed can thrive in shallow, sun-exposed areas during warmer months, clouding the water, reducing oxygen, and impacting fish health.
The IonGen G2 effectively targets algae at its source by releasing controlled copper ions (Cu²⁺) into the water. These ions disrupt algae cells, helping to restore balance and improve clarity throughout your pond.

How the IonGen G2 Works

The system includes a digital control panel and a replaceable copper probe that work together to release ions into the water:

• The control panel sends low-voltage electrical signals to the copper probe.
• These signals release precise amounts of copper ions into the water flow.
• The ions circulate through the pond, reducing algae growth and preventing regrowth.

The control panel offers 10 power levels, allowing easy adjustment of treatment strength.

• Use lower settings when algae are under control.
• Increase power when algae first appear or during peak summer months.

Safe and Monitored Treatment

To ensure pond safety, each system includes copper and KH (carbonate hardness) test kits.

• Maintain copper levels below 0.25 ppm for safe use with fish and plants.
• Ensure KH levels remain between 100–250 ppm (5–14° KH) for proper system performance.

If the KH is too low, use an alkalinity booster. If it is too high, perform a partial water change to reduce hardness.

Installation and Setup

For best results, position the IonGen probe in an area with strong water flow so that released ions disperse effectively.

• For new installations, use the included G2 flow chamber for in-line placement between your skimmer and filter.
• For retrofit applications, the probe can be installed directly inside the skimmer chamber.

Each unit includes an IP44-rated 12V UK transformer, ensuring safe outdoor use.
