The Elevate Aluminium Termination Bar is a professional-grade solution for securely fixing rubber pond liners and EPDM liners to smooth substrates such as concrete, masonry, brickwork, and timber. Designed for long-term durability in aquatic environments, this system is ideal for garden ponds, koi ponds, wildlife ponds, and water features where a clean, watertight liner termination is essential.
Termination bars are used where a pond liner needs to be mechanically fixed in place, such as at raised pond walls, vertical edges, or formal pond designs. The Elevate termination bar provides a strong, neat finish while preventing liner slippage over time.
Watertight Compatibility with Elevate Water Block Sealant
When installing, an uninterrupted bead of Water Block is applied behind the pond liner at the exact height where the termination bar will be fixed. As the bar is mechanically fastened, the fixings pierce the liner; the Water Block compresses behind the liner to form a permanent, non-drying, watertight seal, preventing water from tracking behind the liner or escaping the pond structure.
For complete sealing, a small bead of Elevate Lap Sealant should then be applied over each fixing point where the liner has been penetrated. This creates a secondary waterproof barrier and is especially important in koi ponds, where consistent water levels are critical for fish health.
