Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+ – Targeted Fish Lice Treatment for Ponds
Effective Parasite Control for Pond Fish | Chitin Inhibitor Formula | Easy Application
Combat one of the more stubborn pond parasites with Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+, a powerful and reliable solution designed to eliminate Argulus (Fish Lice) infestations in garden ponds. While Argulus is less common than parasites like white spot or flukes, it can still infiltrate even well-maintained pond systems — often arriving via new fish or plants.
Unlike typical lice, Argulus are parasitic crustaceans (closer to shrimp or crabs) that can cause severe stress, wounds, and secondary infections in pond fish. Absolute Aqua-Vet Argulus+ targets these pests precisely using an advanced chitin-inhibiting formula, disrupting their ability to molt and ultimately eliminating them.
✅ Key Features & Benefits:
-
Fast-acting formula to control and eliminate Fish Lice (Argulus spp.)
-
Chitin inhibitor prevents formation of new exoskeletons and mouthparts during molting phase
-
Ideal for use in both mature ponds and quarantine systems
-
Does not harm beneficial pond fish or pond plants when used as directed
-
Trusted by koi and pond-keeping professionals for accurate parasite targeting
⚗️ How It Works:
Argulus+ disrupts the parasite’s development cycle by inhibiting chitin synthesis—a crucial component in the formation of their new exoskeleton and feeding structures. The parasites continue feeding until their next molt, at which point they die due to inability to regenerate critical anatomy.
